Medium Voltage Transformers (Oil Transformer Rated Power up to 70 MVA)
Description
The advantages of oil transformers are high reliability in harsh environments, long lifespan, lower cost, and minimal maintenance requirements. The most common construction for oil transformers is a hermetically sealed design, meaning that the tank is completely filled with oil, and oil volume changes due to temperature fluctuations are compensated by corrugated radiators. The hermetic design prevents the effects of oxygen and moisture on the oil’s dielectric properties. As a result, the aging of transformer insulation is very slow, and the transformer’s lifespan can be very long.
